Music Lessons featuring the Explore! Method
Explore! music lessons are a progressive level of study for ages 4 to adult, covering the fundamentals of music theory in an entertaining and understandable way. The emphasis of our curriculum is on theory, transposition, improvisation, and composition. The goal of each level of study is to give each student the tools necessary to read, understand, and create their own music. These music classes are self-paced and use a curriculum selected by the teacher for each student, often supplemented with student song requests. The focus is on creating a lifelong love of music through a fresh approach to learning the basics. Students have the opportunity to perform twice per year to show off their talents at our Holiday and End-of-Year concerts.
Group and Private Lessons
Explore! offers two classroom formats; Group and Private music lessons. Our group setting is ideal for new and younger students. Group music classes feature games, mirroring, team encouragment, collaboration, and one-on-one instruction in a fun 45 minute class session. Our private music lessons are ideal for advanced students featuring one-on-one instruction for skill development and mastery. Group or private lessons are available in piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, tuba, oboe, recorder and violin.
